Inspired from a combination of Tasmanian travel experiences, a wish list itinerary for return trips, and plentiful reminders courtesy quality providores of cherries, salmon and rose. Evoking positive emotions via central energy and movement balanced by the surrounding serenity and calm, ‘Bountiful’ symbolises Tasmania’s rich tapestry ... the striking undulating land and coastline, the unique natural flora and fauna and the wonderful local produce. It matters not whether this work takes viewers to a sunrise over show tipped cradle mountain, shimmers on remote beaches, salmon farming or fishing, wilderness walks or isolated isles, blossom orchards and bountiful cherry crops or somewhere just as wonderful. Paramount is the underlying message and intent. The spiral represents positive evolution provoking reminders that our land is precious and to be cared for and that our actions now will ensure we continue to experience as much joy from its beauty and bounty as we do today.
